CASON Participates at International Petroleum and Gas Conference
From the 16th to the 19th of September, 2008 CASON participated in the 27th International Petroleum and Gas Conference and Exhibition.
In addition to exhibiting solutions for natural gas network management Balázs Vidra, director of CASON’s DIWICON division presented a talk on technological solutions to challenges of operating natural gas distribution systems titled “Remote Monitoring and Reading in the Natural Gas Industry”.
“CASON’s DIWICON products and systems for the oil and gas industries provide methods for acquiring data from remote field locations, reliably transmitting that data wirelessly, and managing it efficiently in a central system,” said Mr. Vidra. “CASON has been creating these kinds of systems since before GPRS became widely available, and we keep adding new technological innovations as we progress. Eight years ago it was GPS for fleet management, and this year it is ZigBee for remote meter reading for gas, water, and electricity,” he said.
